The Western Area Rural District Football Association (WARDFA) unveiled their 100 Million Leone Community League at the JHBEX Complex in Waterloo on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
The ceremony was graced by key stakeholders in the world of football in Sierra Leone, including the Deputy Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Mohamed Benson Bawoh, Director of Competition at SLFA Sorie Ibrahim Sesay and recently appointed Chairman of the Premier League Board (PLB) Victor Lewis, and Head of Media and Marketing at SLFA Ibrahim Kamara.
In his brief remarks, the Ag. Secretary General of the FA, Mohamed Benson, noted the FA's commitment to supporting WARDFA in achieving its goals.
The Chairman of WARDFA, Kebbie Sesay, also spoke at the ceremony, highlighting the importance of the league and the sponsor's role in improving football in the region.
The league is expected to commence in October 2023, with registration starting in the first week of October.
