The anticipated transfer of Sierra Leonean defender Juma Bah to Manchester City has faced a significant obstacle, as his current club, Real Valladolid, claims a breach of contract.
The Spanish FA recently confirmed that Bah activated his release clause of 6 million euros, initially appearing to facilitate his move to the Premier League. However, Valladolid asserts that Bah did not attend training today, implying Manchester City's involvement in this action.
In an official statement, Valladolid expressed deep disappointment and strongly objected to Bah's conduct, accusing Manchester City of advising the player to take this course of action. The club stated its intention to pursue legal and sporting measures to protect its interests.
Valladolid also criticised previous attempts by Manchester City to negotiate a transfer fee, all of which they firmly rejected. Juma Bah joined Valladolid on loan last summer, and the club exercised its option to secure his permanent signing in January.
This unexpected development has introduced uncertainty regarding Bah's transfer to Manchester City and may lead to a legal dispute between the two clubs.
