Tunisia prepares to host Sierra Leone for 2023 Africa Beach Games



More than one thousand athletes will be representing fifty-four (54) countries and over five hundred (500) volunteers and five thousand (5000) spectators are expected to participate in the Second edition of the Africa Beach games at Hammamet in Tunisia.


According to the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) , a comprehensive cultural and recreational programme will be developed in parallel with the sports event. Tunisia will host the games from 23 to 30 June 2023 at the Yasmine Hammamet resort.


With barely a month to go before the Africa Beach games in Hammamet, Tunisia, the Chefs de Mission were briefed at a preparatory meeting ahead of the Africa Beach games in Tunis on 28th April 2023 on the final set of documents to be used during the games which included the general regulations, the accreditations guide , the accommodation and catering guide of media.




The President of (ANOCA) Mustapha Berraf , noted that the Africa beach games would serve as qualifiers for the World Beach games in Indonesia and that they are expecting the highest level of performance from athletes.


For Sierra Leone , Teqball is one of the many new disciplines that is well poised to grace the games.




The Chef de Mission of Sierra Leone, Yayah Koroma , has done remarkably well in getting team Sierra Leone on course for the games , and he is expected to brief the press anytime soon.
