Theresa S. Kargbo Nominated for Female Athlete of the Year at NSA 2025

Theresa S. Kargbo, a long-distance sprinter, has been nominated for the esteemed Female Athlete of the Year award at the upcoming National Social Awards (NSA) 2025. This recognition follows her outstanding performance at the 13th All African Games in Ghana, where she competed against top athletes from Ethiopia, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, and other nations. Her participation in such a prestigious event highlights her dedication and talent on the international stage.



Kargbo has consistently excelled in domestic competitions, earning numerous accolades. Notably, she has emerged victorious in the challenging Africell Marathon and the highly anticipated Traditional Boxing Day Sports Meet, establishing herself as a prominent figure in Sierra Leonean athletics.



The competition for the Female Athlete of the Year award is expected to be intense, with Kargbo contending against a group of the nation's most accomplished female athletes from various disciplines. The other nominees include Binta Bah (Volleyball), Kumba Zainab Brima (Football), Madusu Koroma (Wrestling), Marie Flex Bangura (Athlete), Octavia Belinda Kamara (Gymnastics), Olamiday Elizabeth Sam (Swimming), and Rashidatu Gas Kamara (Football).



The National Social Awards (NSA) 2025 is poised to be a celebration of Sierra Leonean talent and achievement.
