Summer City, runners-up of the 2022 COFA League, kicked off their 2023 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Lumley Community on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
The only goal of the match was scored by defender Mohamed Mansaray, known as MO, in the second half.
Lumley applied pressure on Summer City's defensive line in the closing stages, but they were unable to find an equalizer. The victory was a positive start to Summer City's COFA League campaign.
They will look to build on this result in their next match against Sumaila Town on September 7 at the Parade Ground.
