The Star Sport Academy West Africa Detection Tournament kicked off its preliminary rounds on September 25, 2023, at the Wusum Field in Makeni, with over 14 clubs participating.
The opening match between Wusum Stars and Talent Rangers was a display of class and talent, with both teams demonstrating impressive dribbling, accurate passing, and ball possession skills.
Other teams that participated on the opening day of the tournament included Urban Stars, Tkbar Academy, Bombali Sebora, and Al Kallon from Kono. All of the teams showed great potential and determination, and the competition is expected to be fierce throughout the tournament.
