The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) is meticulously preparing for the forthcoming CAF inter-club tournaments by conducting a rigorous inspection of the Southern Arena in Bo City.
The venue is a potential host for the preliminary matches of both the Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, Director of Competitions and CAF-Certified Stadium Inspector, led the inspection on Saturday, July 20th. He meticulously assessed the stadium's facilities against CAF's stringent standards.
The inspection encompassed critical areas such as dressing rooms, pitch conditions, spectator stands, and media facilities, ensuring compliance with the required international standards.
The SLFA aspires to host Bo Rangers' Champions League clash against San Pedro of Côte d'Ivoire and East End Lions' Confederation Cup encounter with ASC Jaraaf of Senegal at the Southern Arena on August 17th and 18th, respectively.
Upon review of the inspection report, CAF will make the final determination on the stadium's eligibility.
