The Sierra Leone Football Association on May 9th and 10th held a ceremony to certify officials who have completed their phases of this year’s Members Association Courses.
The first phase was specifically tailored for Assessors and Instructors who had successful concluded their courses and thereby proven that they can act independently according to specifications.
These ones were accorded with FIFA certificates of participations to the thrill of all assembled.
The second phase of this year’s MA Course, was tailored for Elite Referees who had formerly officiated competitive sports.
The ceremony held in Bo, Southern Province had 30 male and female veteran officials selected from across the country.
The closing ceremony officiated by SLFA Executive Committee Member Madam Ramatulai Kamara, Acting General Secretary Ing. Mohamed Benson Bawoh and Chairman of the SLFA Referees Committee Alhaji M. A. Sesay, was conducted by FIFA officials An Yan Lim from Mauritius and Mark Mzengo from Malawi.
One of the attendees and certificate recipient is Special Advisor to President and Strategic Communications Coordinator Dr. Patrick K. Muana, who’s the current Vice Chairman of the National FIFA referees.
He expressed his confidence in the process, saying that the strict adherence to protocols will improve sports to place teams on a global competitive and winning streak.
