Sierra Leone U-17 Female beats Liberia U-17 in Women's Day Cup Opener



The Sierra Leone Under-17 Women's Football Team emerged victorious in their opening match of the Women's Day Cup, defeating Liberia's U-17 team with a score of 2-1.


Adama Mansaray initiated the scoring for Sierra Leone in the 12th minute, and Adama Kamara extended their lead in the 25th minute, cementing their dominance in the match.


While Liberia's U-17 team endeavored to restore the balance, Lewis Brown managed to secure a goal for Liberia in the 66th minute, narrowing the score to 2-1.


This match served as a testament to the growing prominence of women's football, aligning with Sierra Leone's aspirations to celebrate International Women's Day in a meaningful manner.
