Sierra Leone to Host Launching of Africa Commonwealth Karate Federation in January 2024



At a well-attended ceremony on August 24, 2023, the members of the 2023 Africa Karate Championship in Morocco reached a decision to appoint Sierra Leone's Victor Amara as the Chairman of the Africa Karate Congress and Sierra Leone as the hosts nation for the Launching of the Africa Commonwealth Karate Federation in January 2024.


Amara, who is also the President of the Sierra Leone Karate Federation, encouraged karate athletes to seize the opportunity to better their skills and compete at the highest level.


He also expressed his gratitude to the members of the Africa Karate Congress for their confidence in Sierra Leone to host this important event.


The Launching of the Africa Commonwealth Karate Federation is expected to be a major event for the sport of karate in Africa.






It will bring together karate leaders from across the continent to discuss the future of karate in Africa and to plan for future competitions.


The event is also expected to inspire the next generation of karate athletes in Africa.
