Sierra Leone Teqball Federation Concludes PC Bai Kompa Bomboli 111 National Championship in Masiaka


The Sierra Leone Teqball Federation concluded a two-day National Championship named after PC Bai Kompa Bomboli 111, the current paramount chief of Koya Chiefdom in Port Loko District, on September 16-17, 2023 in Masiaka.


Teams from Kenema, Port Loko, Makeni, Freetown, and Masiaka competed in the two-day event.

In his brief remarks during the Championship, PC Bai Kompa Bomboli 111 encouraged parents to allow their children to actively engage in sports or any other field of success.


Abdulai Bangura of Koya Teq won the men's singles championship, while Kadiatu G Kamara of Calabateq won the women's singles championship.

Koya Teq won the men's doubles championship, while Calaba Teq won the women's doubles championship.


Prizes were given to the deserving winners, and all participating teams as a way to boost the game.

Unisa Deen Kargbo, President of the Sierra Leone Teqball Federation, noted the importance of the National Championship and added that the event was conducted to international standards.


He also celebrated the team of three teqball players and a coach who recently represented Sierra Leone in the Hammamet African Beach Games in Tunisia.



The federation sincerely hopes that stakeholders in sport will come on board to financially support the federation, as it has a national character in terms of promoting athletes.
