Sierra Leone's Sheriffa Rahman Impresses Basketball Without Borders Trainer Bam Adebayo


Sierra Leone's Sheriffa Rahman has impressed Basketball Without Borders trainer Bam Adebayo at the 19th edition of the camp in South Africa. The camp, which runs from July 28 to 31, is attended by 80 of the top high-school-age prospects from across Africa.


Rahman, a 16-year-old guard, has been praised for her athleticism, ball-handling skills, and shooting ability. Adebayo, who is from Nigeria, said that Rahman has "a lot of potential" and that he is "excited to see what she can do in the future."




In addition to Rahman, other notable participants at the camp include 2022 NBA All-Star Darius Garland, 2022 NBA champion Jonathan Kuminga, and Jalen Suggs. The camp will culminate with a game on Monday, July 31.




BWB is a global basketball development initiative that has reached more than 4,100 participants from 136 countries and territories since 2001. The NBA and FIBA have staged 70 BWB camps in 47 cities across 32 countries on six continents.
