Sierra Leone, making their debut appearance in the competition, face a challenging draw, having been placed in Group C alongside continental powerhouses Senegal, Zambia, and Kenya.

The Leone Stars face a formidable challenge against established footballing nations. Senegal, recognized for their strong youth development programs, will be a tough opponent. Zambia, winners of the U-20 AFCON in 2017, bring significant experience and talent to the group. Kenya, while potentially considered underdogs, are an emerging force in African football and will be eager to demonstrate their capabilities.

Despite the tough competition, this represents a momentous occasion for Sierra Leonean football. Participating in the U-20 AFCON for the first time is evidence of the progress made in youth development within the country. This tournament offers a valuable opportunity for these young players to showcase their skills on a continental stage and gain invaluable experience.

The top teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will advance to the knockout stages, competing for a coveted spot in the quarter-finals.
