Sierra Leone was eliminated from the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2026 Qualifiers by Benin, who secured their qualification for the next round with a 3-1 victory.
The second-leg match, held at the SKD Stadium in Liberia, saw Benin take an early lead. Marguerite A. scored in the 38th minute, and just before halftime, Germaine H. scored again in the 44th minute.
In injury time, Aude G. converted a penalty kick to seal a 3-1 win for Benin.
With a cumulative score of 5-2 across both legs, Benin has advanced to the second round of the qualifiers. They will now face Nigeria.
