The President of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), Mustapha Berraf, has expressed optimism for the African Olympic and Sports Movement (AOASM) in 2024, noting its solidity, unity, and the vibrant energy of its athletes.
"The African Olympic and Sport Movement will remain strong, unified, and forward-looking in 2024," Berraf stated in a statement issued today.
He praised the continent's athletes, referring to them as "filled with exceptional vitality" and "true ambassadors on every tartan lawn, floor, and track."
Berraf's comments come as preparations intensify for various sporting events across Africa, including the much-anticipated 13th African Games in Ghana, scheduled for March 8th to 23rd, 2024.
His words aim to inspire confidence and project a positive outlook for African sports in the coming years.
