Mohamed Kallon Motivates Sierra Leone Team for WAFCON Qualifiers

As the Sierra Leone Female National Team prepares for their crucial Women's Africa Cup of Nation's (WAFCON) 2026 Qualifiers, they were uplifted by a visit from Sierra Leone's football icon, Mohamed Kallon.


Kallon, a revered figure in Sierra Leonean football, led a training session with the team at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy at Kingtom.



Sharing his expertise and passion for the game, Kallon oversaw the players' participation in a series of drills and offered guidance as they intensified their preparations for the upcoming qualifiers.


The former Inter Milan and Monaco star's presence served as a significant source of inspiration for the squad, bolstering their determination to succeed in the competition.



Kallon's involvement highlights the nation's support for the women's team as they strive to make their mark on the continental stage.


Sierra Leone is set to face Benin in the first round of the qualifiers, with the first leg scheduled for February 20th, 2025 at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo, followed by the second leg on February 24th at the Samuel Kayon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia, Liberia.



With the support of national heroes like Mohamed Kallon and the dedication of the players and coaching staff, Sierra Leone intends to perform strongly in the WAFCON qualifiers.
