Sierra Leone and Benin played to a 1-1 draw in a friendly match in Morocco on Saturday, in Amidu Karim's first match as head coach. Mohamed Buya Turay gave the Leone Stars the lead in the first half, but Cedric Hountondji equalized late on for Benin.
Sierra Leone were dominant for much of the match and will be disappointed not to have won, but it was an encouraging performance overall. Karim gave starts to a number of new players, and they looked bright and eager to impress.
Sierra Leone will face Somalia in their next friendly match on Tuesday, October 17.
