Mogbwemo Queens to Feature in CAF Africa Women’s Club Championship 2024/2025 Season after securing their second consecutive Sierra Leone Women's Premier League title in impressive fashion.


By this feat, as champions of the Sierra Leone Women's Premier League, the Mogbwemo Queens have established a formidable presence in the domestic football landscape.


In a display of unyielding dominance, the Queens achieved a resounding 6-0 victory over Albitaya Queens during the final match, thereby accumulating a remarkable total of 64 points throughout the season.



The palpable excitement surrounding the Queens' championship victory reverberated throughout Mogbwemo Town Field, creating an electrifying atmosphere.


The celebration was graced with the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Thomas Daddy Brima, the esteemed President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).


The recent seasons of the league, encompassing the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 campaigns, have witnessed significant growth accompanied by intense competition.



The commencement of the 2023/2024 season occurred on December 23, 2023, at Southern Arena in Bo City, Southern Region, Sierra Leone. The vibrant opening ceremony drew a diverse audience, including dignitaries and enthusiastic supporters from various backgrounds.


As defending champions, the Mogbwemo Queens FC set an impressive precedent by securing a decisive 1-0 victory over Ram-K during their opening match.


A dedicated board comprising nine devoted individuals has provided unwavering guidance to the league, demonstrating their unwavering commitment and passion for the development of women's football.


Mogbwemo Queens were awarded two hundred million old leone for winning the Championship, while FC Kallon Female received one hundred and fifty million old leone for claiming the second position.


Additionally, FC Kallon Female's Zainab Kumba Brima was recognized as the highest goal scorer with an impressive 39 goals.



The Female Premier League board has played a pivotal role in driving transformative initiatives within the sport, paving the way for a brighter future for women's football in Sierra Leone.


The triumph of Mogbwemo Queens not only solidifies their dominance in the national league but also affords them the distinguished opportunity to represent Sierra Leone on the continental stage in the CAF Africa Women's Club Championship 2024/25.


This remarkable achievement underscores the burgeoning recognition and advancement of women's football in Sierra Leone, promising broader exposure and invaluable international experience for the country's female teams.
