Leone Stars hoping to Bounce Back After Ivory Coast Defeat in Thursday Morocco Clash



The Leone Stars football team is preparing for their upcoming match against Morocco after suffering a 5-1 defeat against Ivory Coast last Saturday. 


Head coach Alhaji Foray has urged his players to move forward from the disappointment and concentrate on the crucial friendly match against Morocco on Thursday. The coach emphasized that these friendlies provide an excellent opportunity for the team to represent Sierra Leone, and they need to improve their game to make the most of every chance they get in friendlies and international competitions. 


The team's captain, Emmanuel Samadia, and fellow player Kwame Quee, addressed the nation, expressing their remorse for the Ivory Coast loss. They apologized to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), coaches, and fans, promising to give their best in the upcoming match against Morocco. 



The Leone Stars will continue their training on Tuesday and Wednesday before heading to San Pardo for the match on Thursday, January 11th. The coach has a pool of players to choose from as there are no reported injuries in the squad.
