Leone Stars Forward Sullay Kaikai Joins Cambridge United

Cambridge United are pleased to announce the signing of 27-year-old Sullay Kaikai on a one-year contract. The forward returns to the club for a second spell, having previously made 30 appearances for the U's on loan in 2014/15, scoring six goals and becoming a fan favorite.

After coming through the Crystal Palace Academy, Kaikai made 11 appearances for the Eagles, interspersed with loan spells at a number of EFL clubs, including Shrewsbury, Brentford and Charlton.

Kaikai left Palace in 2019 and signed for Eredivisie side NAC Breda, before joining Blackpool on a two-year contract, where he scored 13 goals in 68 appearances. He then moved to Wycombe and MK Dons, before now signing for the U's as Mark Bonner's fifth summer signing.

Kaikai is a tricky winger who is good at dribbling and creating chances. He is also a good finisher, as evidenced by his goalscoring record at previous clubs.

Kaikai is sure to be a popular addition to the U's squad and will be expected to make a significant contribution in the 2023/24 season.
