Herbalist Kankamusa Sesay, aged 42, and storekeeper Bai Kamara, aged 79, have been incarcerated following allegations of wounding brought against them.
The accused individuals are currently before Magistrate Hadiru Dabor at the Kabala Magistrate Court, facing four charges related to wounding and assault.
According to the police report, on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Nfagie Street in Kabala, Wara Wara Yagalo Chiefdom, Koinadugu District, both accused individuals, Bai Kamara and Kankamusa Sesay, allegedly conspired with unknown individuals to commit a felony, specifically wounding with intent.
The charge sheet further indicates that the second accused, herbalist Kankamusa Sesay, on the same date and location, maliciously wounded Kolleh Mansaray with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Additionally, the second accused, Kankamusa Sesay, is alleged to have unlawfully wounded Kolleh Mansaray.
On the other hand, the first accused, Bai Kamara, has been accused of assaulting Kolleh Mansaray in a manner that caused him actual bodily harm.
The accused individuals did not enter a plea after the charges were read and explained to them in open court due to the preliminary nature of their arraignment.
The prosecution is expected to present witnesses in court on the next adjourned date.
In the meantime, Magistrate Daboh has remanded both accused individuals until July 7, 2024.
