Sierra Leone's interim coach Amidu Karim secured his first win with a 2-0 victory over Somalia in a friendly match on Tuesday.
Odense Boldklub forward Mohamed Buya Turay scored both goals for Sierra Leone, opening the scoring in the 24th minute and doubling the lead in the second half.
The victory is a morale boost for Sierra Leone ahead of their World Cup Africa Qualifiers in November, where they are drawn in Group A alongside Egypt, Djibouti, Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, and Ethiopia.
