Benin Triumphs Over Sierra Leone in Exciting WAFCON Qualifier

Benin secured a 2-1 victory over Sierra Leone in the first leg of their qualifying round for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.



The match, held at the Kégué Stadium in Lomé, Togo, showcased the skill and determination of both teams. Aude Gbedjissi scored twice for Benin, while Kadiatu Musa Kamara netted a goal for Sierra Leone.



The second leg is set for Monday, February 24th, 2024, in Monrovia, Liberia, at the SKD Stadium. Sierra Leone will strive to overturn the deficit and advance to the next round against Nigeria.
