Liverpool have announced the signing of 16-year-old centre-back Amara Nallo on a five-year contract. Nallo joins the Reds from West Ham United, where he has been playing since childhood. He is a highly rated prospect who has represented West Ham at youth level.
Nallo said: "I am very happy to be joining Liverpool. This is a dream come true for me. I can't wait to get started and help the team win trophies."
West Ham Academy coach Carlton Cole said of Nallo: "He has a great left foot and is elegant when he moves with both feet. He has been working on his heading as well. He is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and eyes for defending."
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said: "Amara is a very exciting young player with a lot of potential. He is a quick defender with mental toughness. We are delighted to have him join us."
Nallo is the latest addition to Liverpool's young and talented squad. He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of recent academy graduates such as Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harvey Elliott.
